TNT premiered the U.S. drama series in December, 2008. The series produced and directed by Dean Devlin, shows a group of five people ranging from thieves, con artists and computer experts. The group is headed by Nate Ford, previously working as an insurance officer. When the company he helped earn millions, refuses to pay his son’s medical bill resulting in his death. Now on the verge, facing unemployment, Nate decides to use the skills of the five individuals he takes on board, to right the injustices of the government and such agencies, giving to the poor what’s rightfully theirs.
Everybody out there who now finds interest in this show and would like to get a view on the entire series from the start, waiting for it to be re-run would not be an easy task. It is not even sure if the show would ever be recast or you will just have to wait ages. Then why wait at all when you have the possibility of the internet being at your aid. “The Last Dam Job”, the season finale for the awesome show Leverage, it made us all feel like little kids who want to wear a backpack and be a part of the awesome team, and thank heavens that there is another season, season five in the summer, when the show returns.
Of course, the same old brining down the bad guys is done by Nate and his team, and this episode’s bad guys was Latimer and Victor, but this episode had more than just brining bad guys down, it was filled with interactions and great moments between the team members while doing their job.
And it very funny and refreshing to see both of Quinn and chaos trying to go along and work as team to bring Chaos down, it really brought memories back especially when Chaos was telling Quinn the way they are planning to hack the computers.
And another thing that grabbed the viewer’s attention is the surprise appearance of Maggie Collins, who is the ex wife of Nate, to speak the truth; it was a great idea not to show anything related to her in the preview, so we can really get surprised but not expecting here to show up, but she did, and while she was sitting near Latimer, I think everyone noticed her reference to Jim Sterling and her feelings towards him.
As to the person who really stole the spotlight of the show was Archie Leach, played by Richard Chamberlain, we all had a great laugh when he tazzered Chaos. And it was really great when parker and Archie had the honest talk about how they approved Hardison.
Another great thing is seeing how Eliot is protecting Nate, and how she cares about anything related to him, for example, while he was trying to convince Nate not to kill Latimer and Victor, it showed how he really cares about Nate.
